A. B. Slavkovic was born in Čačak, Serbia on the day the San Francisco Giants defeated the Chicago Cubs 9:2 at Wrigley field, Muhammad Ali was indicted for refusing to join U.S. Army, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was unveiled in Arlington National Cemetery, and Lunar Orbiter D was launched into space from Cape Canaveral. In 1985, A. B. Slavkovic graduated from Meadowdale High, Edmonds, Washington State. After a brief stay in Belgrade, he returned to the U.S. He toured the U.S. as an accordionist for the Duquesne University Tamburitzans until his graduation in 1991. He resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
